Mission and Purpose

The Mission of the Granville Education Foundation is to enrich and enhance the quality of life in our community by building and maintaining stewardship of a community trust to provide funding for superior, innovative, education programs that exceed our District's financial resources.

The Foundation collects charitable contributions and through a grant process provides these funds to teachers and administrators in the Granville School District.

History

The Granville Educational Foundation was officially established in 1994 by local business and community leaders, with the approval of the Granville Board of Education, as an independent, non-profit organization.  A volunteer Board of Trustees was appointed to conduct the business of the Foundation.

Its original name, "The Granville Schools Charitable Foundation", was changed in 1998 to "The Granville Schools Education Foundation" and once again in 2001 to the present name, "The Granville Education Foundation".
